Venue Hire Terms & Conditions

Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully.

By proceeding with a booking and paying the required deposit, you are formally accepting these terms.

1. Booking, Deposits & Payments
● Deposit: A deposit calculated as 50% of your total balance is due to secure and confirm you booking date. All deposits are strictly non-refundable.
● Balance: The total final balance for room hire and table cloths (if applicable) must be paid in full no later than two (2) weeks before the event date.
● Payment Methods: Payments can be made in cash, by card, or an invoice can be issued to enable an online bank transfer.
● Agreement: Payment and receipt of the deposit to Ambleside Sports Club acts as confirmation of your formal acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. No physical signature is required.
● Cancellations: If you wish to cancel your booking, you must do so in writing via email to hello@amblesideclub.co.uk. Please note that deposits will not be refunded.

2. Event Timings
● Curfew: All bar service and music must cease promptly at 11:30 PM.
● Vacating the Premises: All guests must leave the premises by 00:00 AM (Midnight).
● Please advise your guests to book taxis or Ubers well in advance of midnight to ensure a prompt departure.

3. Food & Drink
● Beverages: Strictly no alcohol or soft drinks may be brought onto the premises by the hirer or their guests. All drinks must be purchased from the club's licensed bar.
● Kitchen Use: Use of the kitchen must be sanctioned in advance by club management. The kitchen must be left in a clean and tidy state at the end of the event.
● Oven Use: The use of the club’s oven must be agreed upon in advance, and a £50 charge will be applied to the final bill for its use.
● Food Liability: The association can provide contact details for local caterers; however, Ambleside Sports Club is not held liable for the quality or safety of any food brought onto or consumed on the premises.

4. Decorations & Entertainment
● Wall Decorations: We do not allow guests to stick anything to the walls (including signs, banners, balloons, or sellotape /blu-tack) as this causes damage to the venue.
● Table Decorations: We do not allow the use of confetti (including confetti balloons) or small foil table decorations (sprinkles). These items cause severe difficulties for our cleaning staff and damage our cleaning equipment. Free-standing table centrepieces are permitted.
● Inflatables (Bouncy Castles): All inflatables must be used outdoors. Ambleside Sports Club takes no responsibility for the erection, administration, or safety of any inflatables brought onto the club's premises.

5. Liability & Personal Property
● Personal Possessions: The association accepts no responsibility for the loss or damage of any personal possessions, gifts, or hired equipment belonging to the hirer or their guests which are used or left overnight on the premises.
