Summary:
Many of you know Ambleside Club as a community-focused charity, but you may not know everyone who helps keep it running.

Alongside the staff you see behind the bar and around the premises, our committee members take on voluntary roles and responsibilities, including some legal responsibilities associated with running a charity. Much of that contribution happens behind the scenes.

## Meet your Ambleside Trustees

Here are the names behind the roles:

**Chairman:** Heath Denney
**Vice Chairman:** Richard Thornton
**Secretary:** Dawn Formaston
**Treasurer:** Lisa Farmer
**Safeguarding:** Claire Hunter

Our fellow committee members are:
Ian Gilling, Mark Porter, Mike Malyon, Dan Morgan and Marc Wilkes.

## Your questions and suggestions are welcome

If you have a question, a suggestion or something you would like to raise, please feel free to approach a committee member when you see them at the club. They will be happy to help or point you in the right direction.

## Get to know your Ambleside Trustees

We will be publishing a series of spotlight articles introducing each committee member individually, so you can get to know the people behind the roles a little better.

We are all part of the Ambleside family. These spotlights will help you put names to faces and feel more connected to the people who volunteer their time for our club.

## **Our Club Ethos**

Ambleside Sports and Social Community Club is a charitable organisation dedicated to supporting and bringing together the local community. Through its wide range of sports and social sections, the club provides opportunities for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to participate, connect with others and develop a sense of belonging.

At the heart of the club is a commitment to inclusion, diversity and community spirit. We believe that everybody should feel welcome, valued and respected, regardless of their background, circumstances or ability. By offering a variety of activities and opportunities, we aim to encourage participation, promote positive relationships and create an environment for the local community that people can benefit from.

As a charity, Ambleside is proud to play an important role in strengthening the local community. Our ethos is built on the belief that we are stronger together, creating a shared space where everyone can feel part of the club.

### **Ambleside Sports and Social Community Club is more than a club — it is a community where everyone belongs**
